TRIB3 announces new global HQ with flagship studio, training academy and virtual fitness recording studio
Boutique fitness operator, TRIB3, has announced it will open a new global HQ and flagship studio in the heart of Manchester.
The company has agreed a deal on a property occupying more than 8,500sq ft in the city's innovation district, Circle Square.
The site will feature TRIB3's largest ever studio – called Manchester Circle Quare – with a capacity of 60 exercisers per session.
As well as being home to the gym and the company's new headquarters, the property will also house the TRIB3 Academy, which will deliver training and content for TRIB3 teams, coaches and franchise partners.
The Academy will house a custom recording studio – a platform for delivery of the operator's soon-to-launch virtual fitness offering, TRIB3 Live – as well as being a hub for media and content creation.
It is the 11th site secured by TRIB3, which currently operators eight locations – two in the UK, three in Spain and one each in China, Finland and Russia.
"Circle Square is a perfect destination for TRIB3 with our new training academy and group headquarters," said CEO and founder Kevin Yates.
"Innovation and community are some of our most important brand pillars, so to be in the heart of Manchester’s hub of technology and transformation is really exciting for us. Our design team is now creating something unique for the people of Manchester."
Matteo Cerruti, TRIB3's chief experience officer, added: "‘Circle Square and the TRIB3 Academy will be our centre of excellence for training and content production ensuring our franchise partners and coaching team have access to the best possible support and education to deliver our world-class product.
"This is such an important and critical part of the TRIB3 vision. As well as being the epicentre for all of our programming, this will be where all team members come to get trained and cultured in the TRIB3 brand. We're excited to get the Academy live and see how it supports and empowers our franchise partners and their teams, globally."
The move comes nearly exactly a year after fitness industry veterans Allan and Jonathan Fisher completed a Series A capital investment in TRIBE3, which saw them acquire a controlling stake in the business.
Allan Fisher is the founder of premium health club operator Holmes Place. Together with his son Jonathan, the pair also operate the low-cost brand ICON.
TRIB3's boutique format is based on bootcamp-style HIIT training, offering group programming and interaction through digital and performance monitors.
The company was co-founded by Kevin Yates, Dan Summerson and David Cross at the beginning of 2016.
Circle Square is a joint venture between Bruntwood SciTech and Vita Group. When complete, the entirely new neighbourhood will boast more than 1,700 new homes, 1.2 million sq ft of workspace and more than 100,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, including a variety of restaurants, boutiques and bars.
