Luxury Hawaiian wellness enclave, Sensei Lāna‘i, A Four Seasons Resort has launched an Optimal Wellbeing Programme in partnership with WHOOP, the human performance and wearable tech company.

Located at the island resort on Lāna‘i, the new package offers a deep lifestyle analysis using biometric data and wellness technology, designed to inspire an optimal self via heightened awareness, health insights and experiential learning.

“Sensei is committed to helping people live longer, healthier lives through preventative care and healthy lifestyle practices, and our new programme is the next evolution of that purpose,” said Kevin Kelly, Sensei CEO.

The journey begins with a pre-arrival questionnaire and call with Sensei specialists to establish preferences, provide an introduction and customise itineraries.

During their stay, guests’ metrics will be monitored using a Sensei x WHOOP Strap 3.0, alongside a blood biomarker diagnostic test to provide a big picture perspective of their health and inform a one-on-one nutrition session with a Sensei Guide.

All personal data points collected will be stored and evaluated by a digital Sensei Portal to provide health insights and empower those seeking improved wellbeing.

The platform displays member data with radar diagrams of move, nourish and rest and Sensei will use the data to provide each guest with a personalised Guide to Growth report to help power actionable steps upon returning home.

Each individual’s platform will be updated with their biometrics and bespoke guidance given throughout the programme, and remain available after departure.

Personal Sensei Guides are central to the package and lead guests through three private sessions for detailed analysis and collaborative goal setting and 10 move-nourish-rest assessments focused on body composition, grip strength, functional movement and oxygen intake.

Sensei has also included three private optimisation sessions about movement, nutrition and mindfulness.

The offering is completed with either a 120-minute thermal body mapping experience or featured massage of choice in a private spa hale.

Rates for the programme start at US$1,185 (£847, €977) per person per night for a five-night minimum stay, which also allows all guests to be given their WHOOP wearable to keep.

Guests can customise their experience via unlimited access to the activity calendar and a US$500 (£357, €412) credit towards the Experience Menu – a collection of more than 60 different activities and services including the spa, Lāna’i Adventure Park, island exploration and more.

Reservations require a minimum 14-day advance notice to allow for optimal data collection in preparation of guest visit and personalised programming.
