Healthcare professionals gifted complimentary wellness retreats at Four Seasons’ Hawaiian island resort
Hawaiian community organisation, Pulama Lanai, is gifting wellness retreats to health care professionals at luxury wellness enclave, Sensei Lāna‘i, A Four Seasons Resort, on the Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i.
The ‘Heroes Relaxation Retreat’ packages are designed to thank Hawaiian medical staff putting their lives at risk to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hospitals throughout the state of Hawaii are being provided with a limited number of retreat packages by Pulama Lanai, so that they may decide which employees should be awarded the retreat.
Created for couples, the packages offer couples a two-night stay at Sensei Lāna‘i, along with a wellness voucher, luxury charter air service to and from the island and leisure activities.
Couples will be jointly gifted a US$600 (£485, €536) wellness voucher to spend on wellbeing experiences from the Sensei Experience Menu which features offerings ranging from facials and massages to private one-on-one sessions with a wellbeing professional to take a deep dive into either performance psychology, nutrition, yoga, fitness or meditation.
Sensei, the wellness brand owned by tech billionaire, Larry Ellison, launched in November 2019 and is the first initiative under the recently launched Sensei Well - Being brand.
According to Four Seasons, the resort and wellbeing experiences are inspired by the Sensei way: “A philosophy focusing on three practices – move, nourish and rest – that helps you familiarise and maintain a conversation with your body and mind."
"Movement is how we interact with our environment, nourishment is what fuels us, and rest is how we recover and grow.”
In addition, Sensei will also provide healthcare professionals and their guests with dining experiences at its Sensei by Nobu restaurant – where all dishes are created from locally grown produce from Sensei Farms, with guidance from Sensei co-founder, Dr David B Agus, director of the Lawrence J Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC.
The organisation behind the packages, Pulama Lanai, is a land and resource management company, cultural steward and community builder which seeks to promote preservation, progress and sustainability on Lanai.
