Preidlhof Luxury DolceVita Resort to unveil new spa in February 2027
– Patrizia Bortolin, wellness concept manager, Preidlhof
Preidlhof Luxury DolceVita Resort, the destination resort and spa in Naturno, South Tyrol in Italy, will reveal a new spa in February 2027, designed by wellness expert and consultant Patrizia Bortolin.
Bortolin has been the wellness concept manager for the 71-key resort since 2019, when she introduced The Preidlhof Way. This is a holistic wellness philosophy that means the resort’s extensive multidisciplinary team of practitioners offers an array of wellbeing programming to encourage lasting change for guests seeking personal development.
Described as transformational wellness retreats, the programmes on offer are designed to help restore guests’ energy, help them gain clarity and reconnect with themselves via experiences that use neuroscience, sensory immersion, complementary medicine and ancient healing traditions.
The evolution of The Preidlhof Way
The Preidlhof Way balances pleasure and enjoyment with helping guests to find purpose and live a meaningful life. The announcement of the new spa coincides with Preidlhof's 60th anniversary this year and marks the start of the next chapter in The Preidlhof Way’s evolution. The new facilities will reflect the duality of the surrounding landscapes of Monte Sole and Monte Tramontana, with spaces that provide light and shadows, energy and stillness to soothe the body and mind.
Bortolin, who is also co-founder of spa consultancy Glowing Flow Wellness Specialists, said: “Every space has the power to influence how we feel, how we connect and how we heal.
“New places, new experiences and new perspectives can open the door to transformation. Through nature, meaningful human connection and sensorial integration, we create opportunities for guests to expand awareness, reconnect with themselves and each other, and remain open to spontaneity, surprise, discovery and new possibilities.
“The spa is designed to support that journey. More than a collection of spaces, it is an environment created to inspire curiosity, authentic connection and meaningful change. At Preidlhof, our focus is not simply on what we offer, but on what guests are able to discover, experience and become.”
The new facilities
The redesigned spa facilities measure 604sq m and the total wellness and spa will measure 5,700sq m when complete.
The redesign is enhancing the flow and privacy of the spa journey for a more intuitive and immersive experience.
When it opens, the spa will have 10 individual treatment rooms and one couple’s room. It will also have two garden spa treatment rooms offering views of the surrounding landscape.
There will be a new sauna and steamroom, a crystal meditation room and a dedicated holistic class and sound healing room.
The relaxation areas surrounding the central pool will have been significantly enlarged.
A new fitness centre will overlook the resort and the alpine valley of Val Venosta.
There will also be a new spa garden for spa guests, with outdoor relaxation and wellbeing experiences.
Local artisans’ crafts will be on display along a Walk of Love pathway.
The facility will also be home to a wellness library and a beauty shop.
Existing facilities
Preidlhof is home to a six-floor sauna tower, with 18 sauna, steam and relaxation spaces, including a deep-sea relaxation room.
The property has also introduced a snow room by TechnoAlpin Indoor this year, to provide contrast therapy services. The snow room maintains a temperature of –10°C and is filled with real snow, which is produced on site each night using air and water.
