TPL to design new Moscow golf academy

Surrey-based design practice Thomson Perrett and Lobb (TPL) has been selected to draw up plans for a new golf academy for Moscow, Russia. The academy will be located at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, which is one of largest sports facilities in Europe and caters for more than 40 different activities. Latest Fleetwood proposals to go on show

Wyre Borough Council (WBC) has announced that the latest designs for a £1.6m overhaul of Fleetwood's waterfront have been put on display. Detailed plans for a new observation centre at Rossall Point have now been submitted for consideration, while proposals for Marine Gardens are nearing completion. Cineworld to anchor £80m Hinckley scheme

Cinema operator Cineworld has been confirmed one of the anchor tenants for an £80m redevelopment of a bus station in Hinckley, Leicestershire. A five-screen multiplex cinema forms part of the 270,000sq ft (25,084sq m) complex, which will also include a bowling alley, a Sainsbury's supermarket and restaurants. The Tin Hat Regeneration Partnership - a joint venture that comprises Coalville-based Wilson Bowden Developments and Centenary Ashcroft – is leading the scheme.
Colwyn Bay pier revamp 'to cost £5.5m'

A report compiled by consulting engineers Posford DATRYS has revealed that it will cost £5.5m to renovate Colwyn Bay's historic pier. Findings from the Caernarfon-based company's appraisal of the attraction's structure were presented to the Colwyn Bay Pier Task and Finish Group earlier this month. Conwy County Borough Council is working in partnership with the Pier Pressure Group - a community organisation - in a bid to progress the renovation.
