Riverhills Health Club and Spa to get major upgrade following catastrophic fire
– Dave Courteen
Riverhills Health Club and Day Spa in Ipswich, UK, is set for a major relaunch in 2025 after a fire in June 2023 caused extensive damage.
Under the leadership of owner Dave Courteen and Mosaic Spa and Health Clubs, which acquired Riverhills in 2021, the spa is set to undergo a significant upgrade.
Courteen said: “The fire in 2023 was a significant setback, but it also presented us with an opportunity to reimagine Riverhills as one of Suffolk’s leading luxury day spas.
“We’ve invested in the latest facilities to ensure that our members have access to the finest health and fitness facilities in the area and our spa day guests, an experience of deep relaxation and indulgence.”
The spa will reopen with the following new facilities: a large swimming pool, a vitality pool, a TechnoAlpin snow shower, a Jacuzzi, a stone bath sauna and a halotherapy sauna, in addition to heated loungers, a herbal sauna, a steamroom and foot spas.
Riverhills is currently partnered with spa and skincare brand Templespa and has teamed up with industry suppliers Spa Vision, DaleSauna and Newson Pools to realise the new facility.
The spa will reopen with nine spacious treatment rooms – including a mud room and a dedicated manicure and pedicure room – to allow guests to indulge in a wider variety of treatments and therapies.
The project will also see the health club expand with a new spin studio and a HIIT-style studio. They will complement Riverhills’ gym – equipped with Technogym fitness products – and its yoga and Pilates studio.
The transformation is part of Mosaic's broader vision to elevate Riverhills into one of Suffolk's leading luxury wellness destinations, combining indulgence with the latest health and fitness innovations.
