One&Only and Chenot to grow partnership with new Grecian retreat on Athenian Riviera
– Philippe ZIber
Kerzner International, the owner of One&Only Resorts, is set to open a brand new Greek destination in Athens in 2022, in partnership with Grivalia Hospitality S.A.
Named One&Only Aesthesis, the 21-hectare beachfront estate within a six-hectare forest reserve, will be the brand’s second European destination. It will join the recently opened One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro, and in time, will be joined by the brand’s other upcoming Greek resort, One&Only Kéa Island.
Following One&Only’s exclusive global partnership with health and wellness brand Chenot, the 127-room resort will be home to a Chenot Spa, with tailored programmes and pioneering treatments designed to enhance guests’ vitality and optimum health.
Designed to set new standards for resort wellbeing, the facility will provide state-of-the-art, science-based treatments together with Grecian wellness rituals.
The opening of the spa will mark the third Chenot wellness facility at a One&Only resort. Other destinations are located in Malaysia and Montenegro.
A fitness centre – featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces – will also be part of the overall lifestyle offering.
“Kerzner is very excited to be adding Athens to our European footprint,” commented Philippe Zuber, Kerzner CEO, “this exclusive beachfront location, just outside of Athens, is the perfect destination to begin, or end, any Greek adventure, through the ultra-luxury experience of One&Only."
A playful return to nature, the resort will be inspired by the setting’s azure waters and its striking natural surroundings, providing a modern Greek elegance, yet showcasing powerful elements dominant in Greek mythology like fire and water, carved from a palette of natural stone and timber.
One&Only Aesthesis will place an emphasis on privacy, with the majority of accommodation being secluded villas with private pools, perfect for couples or families.
The brand claims the upcoming Greek destination will be a sanctuary that honours the cosmopolitan sophistication of the ‘60s and ‘70s.
“We’ll re-imagine the golden era of Athens, a celebration through life and energy that’s true to our brand promise. We’re executing our strategic growth and development of the One&Only brand globally and are excited to add another One&Only experience in Greece,” Zuber added.
One&Only Aesthesis will be completed with two distinct dining experiences and a beach club.
