One&Only’s debut European resort opening in May with Chenot Espace
– Philippe Zuber
One&Only is opening its first European resort in May 2021 in Montenegro, nestled among a mountain landscape with panoramic ocean views.
One&Only Portonovi will be the first One&Only to offer a Chenot Espace facility, following an exclusive global partnership with leading wellness brand Chenot.
Spread across 4,000sq m with 28 treatment rooms, the facility will offer a transformative journey of resetting the body based on the renowned Chenot Method, designed to enhance guests’ vitality and optimum health.
Treatments will include Chenot’s diagnostics assessments and crafted wellness experiences based on science, bespoke to the needs of the individual.
Guests will be offered tailored programmes to positively improve performance at cellular and emotional levels, through tailored nutritional menus, fitness schedules, targeted spa treatments and stress-relieving activities.
Diagnostics and treatments will fall under six departments; Medical, Human Performance, Medical Aesthetic, Aesthetic, Hydro-therapy and Sport & Fitness.
“Chenot Espace will revolutionise the resort’s wellbeing experience, offering 360-degree wellness programmes for our guests looking to lead a more active, healthy and balanced life,” said Philippe Zuber, CEO of resort developer and operator Kerzner International – owner of One&Only.
“We pride ourselves in delivering extraordinary guest experiences, and now our guests will have access to an exclusive, immersive and distinct experience that will nurture optimum personal results and extend far beyond the spa.”
One&Only Portonovi’s spa will offer an array of targeted treatments, ranging from neuro-acoustic deep relaxation treatments, acupuncture and ozone therapy to IV nutrient therapy and hydro-colon treatments.
Turkey-based international spa design and build company Promet was selected as spa and pool contractor by One&Only, and has helped bring the destination to life.
Thermal facilities will include an oriental hammam, hydrotherapy and cryotherapy facilities, a sauna, steamroom and an indoor pool, alongside relaxation areas.
In addition, the resort will offer a hair salon and men’s grooming salon, Barber & Blade by One&Only.
Beyond the spa, guests will have access to a range of fitness facilities including a tennis club with two professional courts, a Technogym-equipped Fitness Centre, private training sessions, movement and exercise classes and yoga lessons.
One&Only Portonovi will be surrounded by secluded beaches, lush greenery, bio-diverse National Parks, crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and ancient towns over-flowing with history.
The 123-room destination will be inspired by contemporary European elegance, and feature 10 private homes and three culinary experiences.
The nautical playground will also be adjacent to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor and a 238-berth superyacht marina and helipad.
The resort is set for an opening ceremony in March but will officially welcome guests as of May 2021.
