Dusit’s robust expansion includes 40 properties in the pipeline
Dusit International has more than 40 properties in the pipeline in the next four to five years, including locations in the GCC, Southeast Asia, China, sub-Saharan Africa and more.
The dusitD2 Kenz Dubai is scheduled to open in July as part of its contemporary brand, and will be the first D2 to launch in the UAE. With 237 bedrooms, the hotel will include a rooftop pool and a sap.
Other projects in the Middle East include the Dusit Suites and Hotel Doha, due to open in Q1 2017 and the dusitD2 Salwa, Qatar, opening in 2018. The dusitD2 Palm Mall will open in Muscat, Oman in 2018 and the Dusit Thani Jeddah in Saudi Arabia in 2018.
The dusitD2 Khao Yai is a boutique hotel in Thailand set to open in June near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khao Yai National Park.
The Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo has been open since 2010, but will see the launch this year of a new Lake House The Club powered by Dusit Thani, which will be located next to the hotel. The club will offer hotel guests and members state-of-the-art facilities, including Dusit’s signature Deverana Spa with Thai-inspired treatments, as well as “The Body Temple,” personal trainers, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a health bar called Energia.

A new science museum has opened to the public in Haikou after attracting more than 350,000 visitors during a four-month soft opening period.
Designed by Ma Yansong and his practice MAD Architects, the Hainan Science Museum is located on the edge of Wuyuan River National Wetland Park and has already recorded peak attendance of more than 5,800 visitors in a single day.
