Jack Rouse Associates to develop visitor experience for Kodak
Kodak has announced plans to create a brand home in Rochester, New York, with leading design firm Jack Rouse Associates (JRA) selected to plan, design and implement the 9,000sq ft (836sq m) Experience Centre.
Part of a 10-year masterplan to breathe life into the Eastman Business Park, the centre will explore Kodak’s innovations in photography, film, printing, digital imaging, and chemistry. Telling the story of the Kodak brand, the centre will also show its impact on the local community, with additional features including a café and retail area.
“We have been working very closely with Kodak to create a space where guests can re-discover the impact that Kodak has had in their lives,” said Randy Smith, senior project director at JRA. “They have always supported creativity with their products and processes and this will be a great place to celebrate that.”
In addition to the Kodak attraction, when complete the revitalised area will also include a performing arts theatre, housing and retail. The Experience Centre is scheduled to open to the public late in the first quarter of 2018.
