Greece’s first Guerlain Spa to open at One&Only Aesthesis this November
One&Only will unveil a new spa partnered with premium beauty brand Guerlain at its new Athenian resort One&Only Aesthesis resort, launching on 11 November.
Marking the debut of Greece’s first-ever Guerlain Spa, the new facility’s healing approach will take inspiration from its natural environment and local traditional practices to create a distinctly Grecian wellness experience.
Alongside eight single treatment rooms and two couples’ suites, the spa will be home to a sauna, a hammam, an outdoor pool, a retail area and a fitness centre. It will open at the upcoming resort located in southern Athens on the dramatic Glyfada seafront encircled by protected forests.
The new spa partnership marks an extension of Guerlain and One&Only’s existing relationship which was established in 2015 with the opening of the Guerlain Spa at One&Only The Palm in Dubai.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Guerlain House to One&Only Aesthesis,” said Yann Gillet, resort general manager.
“The brand’s legacy and savoir-faire is in line with the resort’s philosophy, celebrating the cultural heritage, charisma and effortless sophistication of a bygone era.”
One&Only Aesthesis’ spa menu will feature signature Guerlain treatments, wellness programmes, experiences designed exclusively for the resort and workshops for children.
Wellness programmes will target sleep recovery, immunity and detoxification.
Guerlain’s growing spa footprint
Now operating more than 40 branded spas and institutes worldwide, Guerlain was founded in 1828 and ran as a family business until 1994 when it was acquired by the luxury goods conglomerate Möet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH).
As well as its partnership with One&Only, Guerlain operates hotel spas at properties run by Oetker Collection, Waldorf Astoria, Cheval Blanc, St. Regis and Four Seasons.
The brand has also recently added Raffles to this list following the launch of its first London spa at the newly-opened Raffles London at the OWO.
Partner upOne&Only Aesthesis was originally due to feature a Chenot Group-branded wellness facility but the operator switched its plans.
One&Only has already partnered with Chenot to launch two spas at its destinations in Malaysia and Montenegro. Plus, another Chenot facility is due to open at One&Only’s upcoming Montana location.
The partnership approach is part of One&Only’s parent company Kerzner International’s wellness strategy. Read more about the business plan in Spa Business’ exclusive interview with Kerzner’s global wellness director Zoe Wall.
