First 1000 Day of Wellness to unveil conception wellness training led by Christine Clinton and Joanne Berry
– Alina Hernandez
The First 1000 Days of Wellness (F1000 Days) will introduce specialised practitioner training for conception, pregnancy, and family integrative wellness, in partnership with respected industry trainers Christine Clinton and Joanne Berry.
Launching in May 2021, the F1000 Days Professional Ambassador Training Programme will focus on how to merge medical and wellness modalities for proven benefits during childbearing years.
The course will educate spa and wellness professionals on the latest evidence-based practices for fertility, pre-conception, pregnancy and the reproductive years while teaching them how to personalise treatments, protocols and create programming for customers wishing to have optimal wellness during these periods.
The programme will also cover why conception wellness goes far beyond getting pregnant and is a family affair.
One of the key focus areas will be specialised F1000 Days Consultations for guests, as well as take-home kits that will encourage repeat spa visits.
Berry and Clinton will deliver the curriculum through hands-on training, online study and live lectures.
Berry said: “Christine and I are extremely honoured to have partnered with F1000 Days to offer this elevated educational programme for the industry.
“We hope to share this knowledge with many spas and wellness facilities so that they’re able to then educate their guests on creating healthy generations for years to come.”
The programme is an extensive compilation of years of research, created by Sergio Pecorelli, MD, PhD and F1000 Days creator, co-founder and chief scientific officer, translated for application in spa and wellness.
F1000 Days co-founder and leading holistic physical therapist, Patricia Ladis, PT, CBBA, said: “The F1000 Days programme uses robust science and fills an important knowledge gap about what people – who’re of childbearing years – need to know and do, to amplify their health and wellbeing before and after they get pregnant.”
“We believe this type of wellness programming is the future, and we’re very excited to be the first to pioneer this space,” added Alina Hernandez, F1000 Days co-founder and director of development and communications.
All practitioners who complete the F1000 Days Programme will be identified by the F1000 Days logo and receive a certificate and pin.
