Spanish resort expands offering with 20,000sq m waterpark addition
One of Spain’s largest resorts has added a waterpark to its offering, with the debut of Splash World at The Hotel Globales Playa Estepona in Malaga.
The 20,000sq m (215,300sq ft) waterpark, designed and supplied by Polin, uses RTM manufacturing throughout the development, offering a high-class smooth and silky finish to the slides, while Polin’s patented Natural Light Effect (NLE) technology uses the sun’s natural light to create colourful interior designs as riders slide through.
The new waterpark’s main attractions include a multi-slide, Kamikaze, Black Hole, two Space Holes and an Aqua Tube. For children, Polin has included the kid-friendly Octopus Slide, Mini Pirate Slide, Rabbit Slide and a Mushroom. Also for children is the B6 Type Water Play Structure, which offers tipping buckets, nets, slides and water cannons.
In addition to slides, Splash World also offers a large wave pool, as well as an L-shaped pool with a bar and a pool for relaxing in the hotel’s gardens.
"We are the highest quality resort in Spain, but we want to continually be improving and always offering our guests the most relaxing, fun experience for their holiday travels," said resort owner Stratos Diamantopoulos. "The waterpark attractions at Splash World do exactly that. And guests have already told us that the new slides have truly made their visits memorable."
