Triotech welcomes entrepreneur Sirois to board
Interactive dark ride manufacturer Triotech has welcomed Canadian businessman Charles Sirois to its board of directors.
“Sirois is one of the pioneers of Quebec’s economic development,” said Ernest Yale, Triotech’s founder and CEO. “With extensive experience with high growth situations, he is in a position to make an important contribution to Triotech. As we are growing rapidly and developing new markets worldwide, it is a privilege to see an entrepreneur of Sirois’ calibre join our board at this time.”
Billionaire Sirois made his name in the telecommunications industry. He founded private equity firm Telesystem and cellular telephone network Microcell (Fido), and in the past led BCE Mobile and Teleglobe. He was on the board of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) from 1997 to 2015 and served as its chairman from 2009 to 2015.
“I am proud to join such a dynamic company, known worldwide for its creativity and technological innovation,” said Sirois. “In recent years, Triotech gained an international reputation with the leading global entertainment groups, which puts it in an ideal position to experience further growth in worldwide markets.”
In February, Triotech announced Charles Décarie had left his role at Cirque du Soleil to become the new COO of the immersive attraction creator.
