QPR exploring stadium relocation options
Queens Park Rangers Football Club (QPR) owner Tony Fernandes is reportedly searching for potential sites on which to build a new stadium for the Premier League club.
Fernandes told the Press Association that he believed the club has a fanbase of up to 45,000 and was looking at locations in west London to replace the 18,000-seat Loftus Road venue.
"It's still premature at the moment. The key this season is to survive, but we would like a bigger ground, and we are looking," said Fernandes.
"I've built airlines and Formula One teams, but building a stadium is not the easiest thing in the world. There are opportunities in west London we are looking at."
It follows the news that fellow west London football club, Chelsea, was exploring a possible move from its current Stamford Bridge stadium to a new venue at Battersea Power Station.
