Jumeirah Group’s J Club launch is best-in-class health and wellness service, says Jumeirah CEO
– José Silva, Jumeirah Group CEO
Jumeirah Group has partnered with London-based Embody Fitness to launch a lifestyle and wellness destination called the J Club at Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
The club fuses fitness and leisure facilities, with a spa, fitness spaces and wellness restaurant offering personalised membership services.
A single membership costs 35,000 AED (£7,751, US$9,529) and a double membership costs 51,000 AED (£11,294, US$13,885).
The club will feature a 1,200sq m Talise Spa with 10 treatment rooms, including a VIP double suite. Spa facilities include a steamroom, sauna and hammam. Espa and 111skin products have been chosen as the spa’s product houses.
José Silva, Jumeirah Group CEO, said: “We’re leveraging Embody’s industry expertise to bring together best-in-class health and wellness facilities and services”.
The J Club is also home to a 1,000sq m indoor workout space equipped by Technogym, Concept 2 and Keiser, with a free weights area, sledge track and functional movement space. There is also an outdoor gym, tennis courts, squash courts, group exercise classes and a 25m lap pool.
Lifestyle, body and movement assessments, including 3D body scanners, are part of the membership experience. The Club will also track and assess members on and offline using MyZone wearables to monitor heart rate, calories, and exercise duration.
Alongside personal training programmes, the J Club is launching a lifestyle management programme that focuses on movement, nutrition and recovery.
The new wellness dining experience has been conceptualised by an award-winning chef, whose identity will be announced in the coming weeks. It will offer healthy food crafted with wellness in mind.
