Canyon Ranch has appointed Jeff Kuster as CEO. He will take up the job on 18 February 2020.

Kuster brings more than 30 years’ of global experience to his new position, including time with the Peace Corps in West Africa and Doctors Without Borders in Romania.

He has also held leadership positions at McKinsey & Company and executive roles with fashion and lifestyle brands based in Europe.

Prior to joining Canyon Ranch, Kuster served as the group president of North America for Ralph Lauren Corporation.

“After conducting an extensive search process, I am thrilled with the selection of Jeff Kuster as our CEO,” said John Goff, Canyon Ranch owner and chair. “Jeff has a unique history managing large organisations, along with brand expertise, and his thoughtful style is clearly influenced by his early experience working with humanitarian organisations.

“His background, coupled with our mission, makes him the right leader for Canyon Ranch. We look forward to working with Jeff as he brings his leadership and authenticity to our team.”

Kuster will begin his role at the Canyon Ranch headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, and will spread his time across the brand’s portfolio.

Kuster commented: “I was first introduced to Canyon Ranch as a guest at the Life Enhancement Center in Tucson, and the unexpectedly profound and meaningful experience served as the catalyst for my interest in joining the company.

“Canyon Ranch has a history of forging deep connections with those who engage with it and I’m honoured to partner with this amazing team and the brand’s dedicated ownership to create the next chapter of evolution and growth.”

This announcement coincides with other recent announcements from the Canyon Ranch group, such as the opening of its first retreat concept, Canyon Ranch Wellness Retreat – Woodside, located in the hills near California’s Silicon Valley.

Canyon Ranch is a US-based luxury wellness lifestyle brand operating two destination spa resorts in Arizona and Massachusetts and one recently opened retreat property, Canyon Ranch Wellness Retreat – Woodside.

Drawing upon 30 years of retreats at the Life Enhancement Center at the flagship resort in Tucson, Arizona, Canyon Ranch Wellness Retreat – Woodside presents wellness seekers with community-driven, introspective, and nature-infused experiences designed for rejuvenation and restoration, and complementing the offerings found at Canyon Ranch Wellness Resorts.
