Foster + Partners' Four Seasons Casablanca has spa offering emerald and gold treatments

by Jane Kitchen | 16 Sep 2015

The new Four Seasons Casablanca is set to open in Q4 2015, including a 700sq m (7,535 sq ft) Le Spa with 10 treatment rooms and an array of luxury treatments. The hotel was designed by architects Foster + Partners.

Four Seasons says "Modern Moroccan elegance characterises the design, textures and colour palette of the 157 bedrooms and 29 suites". A highlight is a 329sq m (4,220sq ft), three-bedroom Royal Suite with 180-degree floor-to-ceiling ocean views, private terrace and indoor-outdoor fireplace.

The hotel features interiors from GA Design, while its three restaurants were designed by EDG.

The spa is being built using cedar and local stone textures, with argan oil-inspired gold accents glowing beneath perforated Moroccan lanterns.

It will also include sensory showers, ice fountains, a balneo hydrotherapy pool, steamrooms, saunas. Spa director Gaelle Peiffer has also designed special spa experiences for children and teens, including a Fruity Scrub, massage discovery for kids and back and facial treatments for teens. .

Treatments will include the Skin Instant Lab by Biologique Recherche and a new concept in partnership with supplier ila that will "reflect the alchemy of the ancient Moors of North Africa." Some treatments will use emerald, etan and gold.

The spa area includes a 172sq m (1,850sq ft) fitness centre for solo workouts or private classes and a 149sq m (1,604sq ft) pool with private cabanas. Spa equipment will be supplied by Gharieni.
