Canyon Ranch Lenox receives multimillion-dollar nature-inspired spa renovation
Canyon Ranch Lenox Resort in Massachusetts has unveiled a freshly renovated spa designed to inspire self-discovery and lifetime wellness.
Canyon Ranch is a US-based luxury wellness lifestyle brand operating two destination spa resorts in Arizona and Massachusetts, a day spa in Las Vegas and a retreat property in California, Canyon Ranch Wellness Retreat – Woodside.
The overhaul has seen the Lenox spa and its central relaxation spaces reimagined, with inspiration drawn from the property’s stunning natural surroundings. Spa locker rooms have also been upgraded with new facilities.
The refresh has been brought to life by architect and interior designer Lauren Rottet of Rottet Studio. Features include warm wood highlights and stone and metal finishes paired with crisp white linen.
Inspired by the nearby Hancock Shaker Village – a utopian community – the new spaces at the spa emphasise themes of utility and simplicity.
According to Rottet, the overarching aesthetic celebrates the beauty of the area’s rolling mountains and the ambience of an early American lifestyle through authentic and humble materials.
The core focus of the renovation was centred on building a strong sense of community and inclusion among guests. In line with this, the revamped relaxation spaces – the Fieldstone Lounge and the Sargent Brook Lounge – and the new demonstration kitchen lend to group gatherings and communal experiences.
Rounding out the renovations, the women’s locker space underwent extensive updates including brand new lockers, furniture, carpeting, lighting and the addition of a whirlpool area featuring a Cold Dip.
“People are continuing to feel the impacts of the pandemic and in response, they’re prioritising wellness, seeking guidance and inspiration – and craving human connection,” said Mindi Morin, managing director of Canyon Ranch, Lenox.
“Our newly redesigned spa and lounge spaces provide a renewed sense of community and tranquil space for rejuvenation. They compliment the resort’s personalised and evidence-based integrative services delivered by expert practitioners and specialists.”
In tandem with the renovation, the spa has launched a selection of new spa rituals by Biologique Recherche and Yon-Ka Paris. The skincare brands’ products are also available in the spa’s retail boutique.
In other news, Canyon Ranch is busy creating its first urban wellness retreat in Texas.
The 26,000sq ft spa and fitness location will open in 2023 within the US$250m (€213.4m, £183m) mixed-use development Crescent Fort Worth Development in Fort Worth.
