Berry joins Miraval Life in Balance Spa
Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California, has named Jacqueline Berry as spa director for its Miraval Life In Balance Spa.
Open since 2016, the Miraval Life in Balance Spa at Monarch Beach Resort is Miraval Group’s first hotel partnership and first coastal location.
With more than 20 years' of experience in the spa and wellness industry, Berry is an expert in growing and leading teams in resorts, onboard cruise ships, in boutique hotels, and day spas.
Discovering the power of massage therapy at a young age, Berry began massage school at 18 and began her professional spa career with the Steiner Transocean, as the youngest crew member onboard the Sun Princess during its inaugural season.
She continued to expand her knowledge most recently as the spa director at the Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin, Texas.
Prior to that, Berry served as the executive director of spa and sports for Canyon Ranch in Tucson.
Known for its “Life in Balance” philosophy and myriad programmes and activities, the 30,000sq ft Miraval provides guests with an expansive wellness and spa experience inspired by the resort’s oceanfront location and rooted in practices that deliver a healthy lifestyle.
The spa offers more than 70 signature and treatments, holistic movement and meditation programming, access to nutrition specialists, healthful culinary workshops, and expert speaker series. It encompasses 24 treatment rooms, a Dry Bar salon and Deborah Lippmann nail suite, and relaxation and tranquillity zones.
