Anantara launches river spa experience at historic Zambian hotel
Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has expanded the wellness offering at the historic Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel with the opening of a luxurious new river spa experience.
Consisting of three riverside spa gazebos, the new spa will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy spa treatments next to the famous Zambezi River.
The River Spa Experience boasts a full menu of body treatments and massages – including the Anantara Signature Massage, which combines Thai and modern techniques with a signature oil blend to stimulate circulation.
Designed primarily for couples, the new riverside spa is part of Anantara’s strategy to better utilise the hotel’s location on the banks of the Zambezi – the largest river flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa.
It will add to the existing Anantara Spa at The Royal Livingstone Hotel, which currently houses four double treatment rooms and a beauty salon.
The new opening is the latest in a line of new launches for Thailand-based Anantara, as the group expands its presence on the rapidly growing African and Middle Eastern luxury markets.
Earlier this year, the group announced it will be opening a new luxury resort in Zanzibar in 2020, as part of the Zanzibar Amber Resort project, which is being developed by by real estate firm Pennyroyal Gibraltar Development and South Africa’s Pam Golding Property group.
It has also plans for spa resorts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and in Oman.
