Gymnation celebrates the launch of its biggest health club and launches ice workout

Gymnation launches its largest club to date, in Riyadh
Facilities include a mix of gym, mind/body and recovery
Twenty more locations are planned for this year in UAE and KSA
An ice workout has also been launched in Dubai

Middle East operator, Gymnation, has opened its largest club to date in Riyadh's Qurtubah district, offering male and female facilities.

The 77,000 square foot club offers Saudi Arabia’s biggest ladies-only reformer Pilates studio, as well as a private reformer Pilates room; an outdoor roof terrace for fitness and social events; the region’s largest free weights area; a recovery zone with saunas, ice baths, and treatment rooms; a dedicated Glute Training Zone; affiliated Hyrox Training Club; Mind and Body studio and male and female indoor cycling areas.

Loren Holland, founder and CEO of Gymnation, says this is the chain’s most Instagrammable location and sets a new benchmark for health and wellness facilities within Saudi Arabia, further reinforcing its mission to make world-class fitness accessible, affordable and inclusive for everyone.

“Saudi Arabia is experiencing a fitness revolution and we’re proud to provide an environment where people of all fitness levels feel welcomed and motivated,” says Holland. “We’ve invested significantly to bring not only the biggest gym with the widest selection of equipment and classes Riyadh has ever seen, but also a gym that looks incredible! From lighting to graffiti, all the way through to new fixtures and finishings, we’ve well and truly raised the bar for what a gym experience can be in the Kingdom.”

Launched in 2017, GymNation aims to become the largest gym chain across the GCC, with 20 more locations planned to open across the UAE and KSA in 2025, as well as further expansion planned in Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. It currently has 14 UAE locations and 8 KSA locations, and more than 110,000 members.

ENDNOTE

As Dubai's summer temperatures continue to climb, Gymnation has launched a new workout – The Coolest Class in Dubai – which incorporates ice into the workouts.

Rory McEntee, chief marketing officer says: “When the summer heat hits its peak in July and August, finding ways to stay active without overheating becomes a real challenge. We’re turning that challenge into an opportunity offering a fun, refreshing way to beat the heat while still smashing fitness and wellness goals.”

The workout combines HIIT with cold-based challenges such as sled pushes with ice blocks; squats with ice-packed weighted vests; ice bucket bicep curls and lunges; bike sprints with icy air blasts and post-workout ice baths.
