Hilton’s first luxury resort in Greece – Conrad Corfu – to open with full service wellness centre
Hilton’s first luxury resort in Greece, Conrad Corfu, will open in the serene beachtown of Molos on the Greek island of Corfu in Q2 this year, with a design that celebrates the waterfront location with a series of lagoons and pools.
The 136-key hotel, which will have its own 200m of beachfront, will be operated as part of a franchise agreement between the Greek hotel-owning Troulis family and Hilton’s Conrad brand.
Numo Hotels and Resorts will operate the property. Numo is a Greece-based hospitality company known for its design-forward locally-inspired properties in Crete, Mykonos and Corfu.
Architecture and exteriors for Conrad Corfu have been conceived by Cube Concept and interiors are by Hotel IM and Place in Space Architects.
The resort will have a U-shaped design around a reflective lagoon that Numo Hotels and Resorts is calling the Aqua Piazza. To get to this design piece, guests walk through a limestone-floored hall that will house contemporary Greek art, a glass-roofed atrium and a marble walkway.
Spa and wellness
The wellness centre has been created in collaboration with wellness consultant Stavros Mavridis of Eminence Hospitality to align with Conrad Spa guidelines but with a distinctive aesthetic. The facilities will measure 971sq m in total and will have a spa, gym, reception and retail space plus a beauty studio.
Maria Fthenou, co-owner, Numo Hotels & Resorts told Spa Business: “In partnership with Conrad Spa, we have crafted a sanctuary that transcends the expected; a place where every detail has been considered to inspire curiosity, connection and renewal.
“Our ambition is to offer guests of every generation an immersive wellness journey that feels deeply personal – where nature becomes a guide, rituals unfold with intention, and the vibrant energy of Corfu reveals new layers of joy, serenity, and discovery,” added Fthenou. “We are incredibly proud to bring this experience to life and to share the soul of our island in such a meaningful way.”
The spa will have four single treatment beds and a shower each, as well as one double treatment room with a shower, sauna and steamroom.
The thermal facilities will include a sauna, infrared sauna, steamroom, ice room and a snow shower.
There will be an 85sq m heated indoor pool with a relaxation area. A separate touchless wellness area is also included in the design.
The beauty studio will offer treatments for the hands and feet as well as hair appointments.
The gym will be open 24/7 and will have spaces for cardio exercise, weights, Pilates and a movement studio. There will also be a room for consultations and recovery.
A spokesperson for Numo told Spa Business:
“Designed to meet the needs of today’s travellers – families, couples, and groups – the wellness and spa facilities feature purposeful spaces and thoughtfully selected equipment that respond to a wide range of goals: deep relaxation, recovery, enhanced vitality, and joyful recreation.
“This is a truly integrated wellness journey,” added the spokesperson. “Spa therapies, nutrition-led elements, fitness and movement practices, wellness modalities, outdoor programming and even learning opportunities for younger guests are interconnected to create a seamless mind–body experience. By embracing a modern, lifestyle-driven approach to wellbeing, we celebrate life in all its dimensions.”
Treatments and suppliers
Treatments at the spa will include those by Swiss skincare innovators at Swissline; hand and foot specialist Margaret Dabbs London; and holistic Greek ritual skincare brand Onar.
The spa will use Afrodite Wellness Management Software by Eurotel Group.
Sauna equipment will be provided by Harvia and steamrooms will be provided by Tylo.
Other facilities
The property will have a range of indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants, two bars, an open-air cinema and a kids club, which has a tree-house-like micro village.
