Sensei expands global footprint with debut at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
– Alexander Walterspiel
Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, a five-star resort and spa in Puerto Los Cabos, Mexico, has announced a partnership with Sensei – the luxury wellbeing company founded by Larry Ellison, tech pioneer and co-founder of Oracle, and Dr David Agus, a world-leading physician and scientist.
The new tie-up brings Sensei’s personalised wellness programmes to the five-star destination, offering guided one-on-one consultations, spa treatments and group fitness, yoga and meditation classes.
Sensei applies data-driven health knowledge and utilises technology in its programmes and services to create premier wellbeing programming that promotes healthy lifestyle practices. The Sensei Way, informed by Dr Agus’ lifetime of knowledge in preventative health science and self-care, is built around three pillars – move, nourish and rest – to guide individuals toward optimal wellbeing.
“This collaboration allows us to position Zadún as a world-class wellness retreat, reinforcing our commitment to providing guests with the most innovative spa and evidence-led wellness offerings, promising an impactful wellbeing experience during their stay,” stated Thomas Jecklin, resort GM.
Sensei at Zadún has brought in the brand’s best-in-class guides with advanced degrees in exercise physiology, mindset and nutrition to Los Cabos, where guests will enjoy personalised consultations on everything from mindset and healthy eating practices to sleep and fitness.
As part of the Sensei experience, guests can book four signature wellness packages:
• Optimal Wellbeing Programme featuring WHOOP tech: Guests can hone their wellbeing through expert guidance and technology including a WHOOP wearable device sent prior to arrival. In this structured five-night programme, Sensei’s integrated team of exercise physiologists, nutritionists and mindset professionals measure key biomarkers, co-create a guest’s personalised itinerary, and help fine-tune practices to meet their goals – whether that’s peak fitness performance or healthier eating practices.
• Discover Sensei Experience: Whether celebrating a special occasion or looking for a flexible wellness-oriented stay, this introductory package provides the luxury of choice with one private wellness consultation or spa service for every day of the stay, excluding arrival and departure days. A three-night minimum stay is required.
• Guided Wellness Experience: Guests can revel in relaxation or sharpen wellness practices with specialist guidance from a dedicated Sensei Guide and a personalised itinerary tailored to the guest’s goals and interests. This three-night programme includes a nightly US$150 (€138, £116) Sensei Credit and one private session in fitness, nutrition, mindset and more.
• Rest and Reset Programme: This structured five-night retreat introduces proven techniques to manage stress and improve sleep. The programme is complemented by six private 1:1 sessions including two with a Mindset Guide to translate health data, as well as spa treatments, and a guide to growth report to power actionable steps upon guests’ return home.
“This partnership marks Sensei’s first international expansion, a major milestone for our rapidly growing wellbeing brand,” said Alexandra Walterspiel, Sensei CEO.
“We’re honoured to bring our best-in-class wellness offerings to the Ritz Carlton Reserve – a brand that places such an emphasis on local cultural integrations and the guest experience. With the property’s location along the pristine white sandy beaches of Los Cabos, Sensei’s programming aligns perfectly with guests’ passion for the outdoors, wellness and relaxation.”
Besides its core Signature Services offered at all Sensei locations*, Sensei at Zadún will offer a variety of locally inspired spa treatments and experiences that merge Sensei’s core principles of Move, Nourish and Rest with the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of Los Cabos.
