Chablé unveils new healing heartache programming, inspired by the ocean

by Megan Whitby | 08 Dec 2020

Destination spa operator Chablé Hotels is creating solutions-based retreats to tackle prevalent wellbeing problem areas in 2020.

Chablé’s first offering is a healing heartache programme devised for individuals recovering from the breakdown of a long-term relationship.

Tailor-made for each guest, it focuses on renewal and increasing self-worth, and includes daily sunrise and sunset yoga (Vinyasa, Pana or Hatha) centred on self-love, ensuring guests start and finish the day with a positive mindset.

The programme’s philosophy is inspired by the ocean and its constant state of releasing and letting go – something which Chablé harnesses to encourage guests to wash away old habits and allow for something new to start.

On this basis, the retreat includes a renewing Sound of the Sea ritual featuring a seaweed wrap, exfoliation, warming sea fennel massage and a Rain Goddess ritual designed to emotionally and physically refresh and heal the body.

A highlight of the experience is the Chablé Janzu Water Massage where guests are immersed in an outdoor pool while a therapist works to release blocked energy and promote relaxation.

Guests will complete the retreat with a traditional Mexican sweat lodge experience to encourage a feeling of rebirth and to leave past heartache behind.

Chablé has also rolled out an immune-boosting retreat packed full of daily exercise, meditation and an immunity-focused nutrition plan.

This is complemented by an authentic energy-cleansing ritual using copal, a Coco Skin spa treatment and a guided water ceremony where guests are exposed to various temperatures to increase circulation and reduce muscle tension.

The final new wellness package focuses on stress reduction, featuring either flotation therapy or a Tree of Life Massage, plus a massage targeting the zones with the highest accumulation of stress and plenty of mindfulness, yoga and meditation classes.

All packages are available at both Chablé Maroma and Chablé Yucatán resorts and may vary in price and content, as each retreat is individually constructed following consultation with Chablé’s wellbeing experts.

At Chablé Maroma basic rates start from US$850 (£630, €699) per night, for a Villa with a private pool, including breakfast and taxes, while at Chablé Yucatan rates begin from US$1,106 (£820, €909) per night, for a Casita with private pool, including breakfast and taxes.

Chablé is currently in the process of expanding its portfolio with a new destination set to open in 2022 called Chablé Sea of Cortez, in Baja California Peninsula.
