Triyoga introduces trauma-releasing exercises as London expansion continues

by Deven Pamben | 02 Nov 2017
Each time I visit... its vibrancy, history and immense sense of community have become more and more apparent, so it made complete sense and felt natural to open in this area
– Jonathan Sattin, founder, Triyoga

Innovative trauma-releasing exercises (TRE) are being introduced at Triyoga as it continues its London expansion with a new studio in Ealing next month.

TRE classes are designed to help the body “let go of chronic stress” and “deep tension”. Advocates of the exercises say regular practice can bring the body and mind into a more balanced state and help build resilience to deal with the stresses of everyday life.

Classes will be available to beginners through to more experienced students.

The 6,000sq ft (557sq m) Ealing studio will be the second site to open in the space of three weeks after Shoreditch launched in October. Triyoga also has studios in London’s Camden, Chelsea, Covent Garden, Soho.

Teachers will include Zephyr Wildman, who will lead vinyasa and meditation classes, Natasha Kerry, who will direct a restorative yin session, and Megan Inglesent, who will teach Iyengar classes.

Sessions will start from £17 (US$22.50, €19.40).

Ealing will also offer more than 60 therapies and healing treatments and offer cold-pressed juices, coffee and healthy food on site.

Jonathan Sattin, who founded Triyoga in 2000, said: “Over the last few years many of my friends have moved from West and Central London to Acton and Ealing and each time I visit the areas its vibrancy, history and immense sense of community have become more and more apparent, so it made complete sense and felt natural to open in this area.”
