Ayurvedic specialist Dr. Kannan Nettath will be among the speakers at this year’s Cidesco World Congress and Exhibition, which will be held in Mumbai, India from 15 to 19 September.
Coinciding with the Professional Beauty India show, this year’s event will be the 65th Cidesco congress – making it one of the longest-running gatherings of spa and beauty professionals.
Organised by Cidesco Section India – which is aligned with the Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology India – the theme for this year’s congress will be “Nurture through Nature.
The programme will include seminars by experts on modern and eastern aesthetics and spa treatments, as well as demonstrations on the world’s most ancient technique of mind and body rejuvenation.
There will also be sessions discussing the latest industry research and innovation, trends and techniques, products and technology.
As well as Dr Nettah, speakers will include biochemist Ronelle Iten, cosmetic dermatologist and laser specialist Dr. Apratim Goel and Diana Howard, vice president of Global Education of Research & Development for the International Dermal Institute.
Topics explored during the five-day event include extrinsic and intrinsic factors which affect skin and facial analysis; face and body contouring using radiofrequency; and cosmetic ingredients and their effects on the skin.
Seema Gopujkar, chair of Cidesco Section India, said: “We promise that the CIDESCO Congress 2017 will be the most exciting experience where, besides having eye-opening knowledge sessions, we will also let our delegates experience the rich culture, cuisine, dance forms and living spirits that define India.”
Expected to attract delegates from around the world, the event provides the opportunity for beauty and skin therapy professionals to discuss industry issues, learn new skills and network.
Cidesco (Comité International d’Esthétique et de Cosmétologie) is recognised as the “standard setter for beauty and spa therapies” and was founded in 1946. It is currently headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland.
