Spafinder Wellness names Llanos VP of technology
Spafinder Wellness has named Antonio Llanos as vice president of technology. Llanos will play a key role in guiding the company’s technology vision and strategic planning, and be responsible for the management of the company’s IT infrastructure, including content systems, mobile and e-commerce initiatives.
“We are thrilled Antonio joined the Spafinder Wellness team, and he has been instrumental in guiding some of our most ambitious innovations to date,” said Pete Ellis, chair and CEO of Spafinder Wellness.
“Some will be announced shortly, and all are designed to make the Spafinder brand synonymous with accessible, convenient and consumer-friendly technology in the wellness space. Antonio has an impressive history not just of creating vision, but also of aligning and leading teams to create technology products that truly realise, and even exceed, that vision. I am extremely pleased to have Antonio with us. In a very short time he has proven to be an exceptional choice.”
Llanos joins Spafinder Wellness with more than 20 years of technology and management experience, having held various positions within the technology departments at Bayview Asset Management, Florida Power and Light, JP Morgan Chase and All-American Medical. His expertise includes development, application architecture, project management, systems support, quality assurance and release management.
Most recently, Llanos managed the Open Systems team for KLX Aerospace Solutions, a billion-dollar aerospace consumables company, overseeing the implementation of various web and ecommerce systems.
Previously, Llanos was vice president of information technology at All American Medical, where he managed all aspects of IT, and helped lead the implementation of various consumer-facing health and wellness application development projects.
“I am very excited to be a member of the Spafinder Wellness team,” said Llanos. “It is great privilege to be part of such an energetic, growing company that is the spa and wellness industry leader. We have a fantastic technology team ready to build the next generation of systems for Spafinder.”
