Simworx shuffle sees new appointments
Media-based dynamic simulation attraction developer Simworx has announced two new appointments to its growing team.
Simworx – which purchased RoboCoaster earlier this year with the help of a £4.5m (£6.8m, €6.2m) investment from the Business Growth Fund – has named Ed Pawley as its new sales director. In addition, Andy Gray, formerly of the Science Museum Group, replaces Pawley as the company’s new business development manager.
Working for more than 20 years on the operational side of the theme and amusement park industry, Pawley was praised by Simworx managing director, Terry Monkton, for the success in his previous role over the past two years.
“Edward has had a particularly positive impact since joining us just over two years ago and I am
delighted to recognise that fact with this promotion,” said Monkton. “He has travelled all over the world on behalf of Simworx during that time, visiting existing clients, potential new clients, developers, operators and others to discuss our product range and latest developments with them, enjoying much success. It’s a very well deserved appointment.”
Andy Gray, who spent many years in the museum sector as part of London’s Science Museum Group, will take up his new role as business development manager, having previously operated as commercial experience manager.
“Andy’s background in the operational side of the museum sector will be a huge advantage when discussing projects with museum and similar venues,” said Monkton. “His commercial experience with the Science Museum Group is also key and we look forward to making further inroads into museum, zoo, aquarium and cultural and heritage sites within the UK and around the world.”
