Finalists announced for Flame Awards 2015
Finalists for the 2015 Flame Awards were unveiled this afternoon (28 April) by ukactive CEO David Stalker during a live webinar.
Leisure centre operators 1Life and Everyone Active led the way with eight nominations each, closely followed by Places for People Leisure and GLL with six apiece.
The prestigious awards – which are sponsored by Matrix Fitness – will take place on 24 June at Telford International Centre. As ever, they will be held in conjunction with the annual Flame Conference – which will this year see Champion Jockey AP McCoy deliver a keynote speech.
Following the success of last year’s rejigged format, there will again be 14 award categories to recognise facilities, suppliers, operators, educational institutes, health practitioners and large corporations, that have demonstrated exceptional standards.
“With hundreds of nominees vying for these prestigious awards, being confirmed as a finalist is a significant achievement in itself,” said Stalker.
“As such I would like to congratulate every finalist who has reached this stage. The assessment process is well known for being exceptionally rigorous and the standard keeps getting better every year. We are looking forward to celebrating with all the finalists and winners at the awards night.”
