Banyan Tree Spa opens its first spa in northern China
Asian-based spa operator Banyan Tree Spa has debuted in Northern China with the launch of the Spa at Banyan Tree Tianjin Riverside.
Nestled in the historic port city, Banyan Tree Spa Tianjin Riverside offers spa guests a range of time-honored Asian healing therapies and Chinese-inspired treatments aimed at achieving complete rejuvenation.
Located on the east bank of Tianjin’s Hai River, the spa features nine treatment rooms. It includes three double royal rooms with double rainmist facilities, one double deluxe room, five single deluxe rooms, one facial room, a beauty salon with two foot massage rooms and a relaxation area.
Additional wellness facilities include the gym, hot and warm dip pools and swimming pool.
Spanning over 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft) in the basement, Banyan Tree Spa Tianjin Riverside is designed with a contemporary concept. Contrasted against bricks, the spa features a tranquil water courtyard surrounded by a bamboo garden and glass panel where sunlight streams through.
All therapists are formally trained according to the stringent curriculum at Banyan Tree Spa Academies located in Phuket, Thailand; Bintan, Indonesia and Lijiang, China.
Signature treatments include the Royal Banyan treatment, which features the Royal Banyan Herbal Pouch Massage where a herbal pouch dipped in warm Sesame Oil massages the skin to improve blood circulation and muscular tension. This is followed by a blend of ginger and lemongrass body scrub to exfoliate and moisturise the skin. The experience is completed with a Jade Face Massage which aims to improve skin condition and firms facial muscles.
First-time visitors are also recommended to experience the 120-minute Yin Yang Rainmist which is a signature Banyan Tree Spa innovation. The highlight of the Yin Rainmist is the combination of cold body treats to cool the body and calm the senses. The Yang Rainmist features the warming effect from Oriental Herbal Body Scrub and Creamy Spice Body Conditioner to leave the skin nourished.
