Rezidor unveils new Hotel Missoni Kuwait
Rezidor Hotel Group (RHG) has announced the opening of a new Hotel Missoni in Kuwait - the second property to open under the group's new lifestyle brand.
Hotel Missoni Kuwait forms a part of Kuwait City's Symphony Centre boutique emporium and offers 169 sea-facing rooms, as well as a gym, a steamroom, a sauna and a pool deck. Dining concepts include the Italian restaurant Cucina and the 18th floor Luna eatery offering a range of Arabic-oriental and Mediterranean cuisine.
A 1,500sq m (16,146sq ft) Six Senses Spa is also slated to open at the new property later in 2011, which will feature 10 treatment rooms, two yoga studios and a relaxation area. Spa facilities will also include a juice bar, separate gyms, hammams and changing areas, with Six Senses offering signature treatments to guests and non-residents.
RHG president and chief executive officer Kurt Ritter said: "Hotel Missoni Kuwait will further strengthen our presence in the region and reinforce our position as one of the leading international hotel operators." The first Hotel Missoni - developed by RHG in collaboration with the Italian fashion house - opened in Edinburgh, UK, in June 2009.
