Populous and Buckingham's proposal for a revamped St Andrew's
Birmingham City Football Club (BCFC) has unveiled new visions of how its St Andrew's stadium could look in future if it is redeveloped.
GMI Constructions in conjunction with WCEC Architects; Populous and Buckingham; and Jak Design have all devised proposals for a potential revamp of the venue. According to the Premier League club, the redevelopment of St Andrew's could be the most "financially prudent option" with average attendances of less than 25,000.
BCFC acting chair Peter Pannu said: "This is at a very early stage and we do not want to heighten expectations too much. "We have not ruled out a stadium move but our primary concern with that option would be our average attendances. Moving to a 55,000 capacity stadium may not be prudent at this stage."
