London's Waldorf Astoria spa to open in 2011
The opening date for the 137-bedroom London Syon Park, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel in London, UK, has been set for early 2011.
The hotel will include a luxury spa called Kallima - named after the lepidopteran that transforms from a leaf like insect to a spectacular butterfly.
The spa will have 11 treatment rooms, including a double VIP suite; a hydrotherapy suite; Vichy shower; a rest and relaxation space; a nail spa; indoor swimming pool; spa pool; sauna and steamroom; and a health club with a team of personal trainers.
There are also plans for an exclusive agreement with celebrity cosmetic surgeon Alex Karidis to offer guests discreet consultations within the spa.
The Syon house and its 200-acre park is owned by Duke of Northumberland and the hotel will be managed by Hilton Worldwide.
Unique features at the hotel will include a butterfly house in the lobby and an ice-cream parlour.
The Ability Group has led the design of the hotel, working with independent interior design consultants. The bar and restaurant concepts have been created by the Gorgeous Group.
