Wyndham Worldwide, the holding company for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, has announced that it has signed a franchise agreement for the opening of the Wyndham Grand Bangalore Yelahanka, India.
The 180-room hotel, set to open in 2020, is part of the group's plans to expand into India that will see 8,000 rooms developed over nearly 70 hotels within the next five years.
Currently Wyndham is running 17 operational properties in India with a combined total of 1,800 rooms under the Wyndham, Ramda, Dream and Days Inn brands.
The new hotel in Bangalore will be part of Sammy's Grand Palace - a 75-acre residential project being developed by Bangalore-based real estate company, Sammy's Dreamland.
The hotel will feature spa facilities, four restaurants, outdoor pool, two large conference and banquet halls in addition to a five-acre landscaped garden with a man-made lagoon.
