England’s Stoke Park opens new spa gardens in historic 300-acre setting
England’s Stoke Park has opened a new spa gardens overlooking the hotel’s grounds and featuring a hot tub, Scandinavian sauna, day beds, double loungers and a Manu nest hanging from a Yew tree. The spa’s atrium has also undergone a full refurbishment.
Set among 300 acres of parkland, lakes, historic gardens and monuments created over the past one thousand years, Stoke Park is located just outside London and features 49 bedrooms and suites, an 11-treatment-room spa, three restaurants and a 27-hole championship golf course designed by Harry Colt in 1908.
'We wanted to develop an outdoor spa experience here at Stoke Park to take in the stunning surroundings that we are nestled in here,” said Anna Thomas, Stoke Park’s spa manager. “We get many guests coming here to escape the city and what better way than to sit in a hot tub or sauna taking in 300 acres of beautiful parkland all around you.”
The spa garden join’s Stoke Park’s current spa facilities, which include an indoor heated swimming pool, single sex Italian marble steam rooms, deep relaxation room, private atrium, a tropical aquarium, nail bar, boutique,13 multi-surface tennis courts (indoor, grass and floodlit artificial clay) and a state-of-the-art 4,000 sq. ft. gymnasium with Star Trac equipment complete with fitness, hot yoga and spinning studios.
The spa uses Thalgo, Aromatherapy Associates CACI and Lava Shell product houses and treatments.
“I truly believe that time outdoors rediscovering nature and breathing in the fresh air does so much to ground us and re-energise so I couldn’t have asked for more than to develop a stunning outdoor area for our new spa facilities,” said Thomas. “Not only do you get the heat and hydrotherapy benefits of a Scandinavian sauna and stunning hot tub, you also get the powerful benefits of being outdoors and having nature all around you.”
