The UAE was an obvious choice to continue our expansion across the Middle East
– Humphrey Cobbold, CEO PureGym Group

Pure Gym Arabia, the franchise partner of Pure Gym Group in the Middle East, has opened its first club, Nad Al Sheba, in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. The chain will be launching its second Dubai club next week as part of its plans to open over 20 gyms across the UAE.

Facilities at Nad Al Sheba include a spacious and well-stocked free weights area, cardio zone and cycle studio. Workout classes, personal training and a women-only area are also provided, as well as more than 220 pieces of equipment. These include battle ropes, plyo boxes and TRX.

"Opening our first gym in the United Arab Emirates marks a significant milestone in our company's growth and we are thrilled to bring our unique approach to fitness to the people of UAE,” said Susan Turner, CEO of Pure Gym Arabia. “We're committed to providing our members with the best possible experience and we can't wait for them to see what we have in store for them."

Pure Gym Arabia’s first club in the Middle-East launched in Riyadh in November 2021. Since then it has opened ten clubs in Saudi Arabia and, based on this success, is targeting the UAE for expansion – a market Pure Gym believes has “huge potential and significant demand for value fitness”.

“Following our successful openings in Saudi Arabia over the last year, the UAE was an obvious choice to continue our expansion across the Middle East as a fast-growing and dynamic economy with an increasing focus on health and a strong demand for value fitness,” said Humphrey Cobbold, CEO of Pure Gym Group. “We now have a presence in six markets globally and are pleased to be enabling greater access to affordable fitness at a time when boosting people’s mental and physical health has never been more important.”

Pure Gym Nad Al Sheba will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will cost 119 AED (£26) a month plus a joining fee.
