One&Only’s new oceanfront spa in Greece offers treatments inspired by Greek mythology and Ayurveda
– Philippe Zuber
One&Only Resorts has introduced a new three-storey spa on the picturesque Greek island of Kéa, located at its recently launched oceanfront property, One&Only Kéa Island Resort and Private Homes.
Set on a dramatic cliffside site, the 63-villa resort is One&Only's second Greek destination, joining One&Only Aesthesis in Athens, which debuted in 2023 featuring Greece’s first Guerlain Spa.
Partnered with luxury Ayurveda aromatherapy brand Subtle Energies, the One&Only Kéa Island spa is inspired by the ancient Greek concept of sophrosyne, emphasising harmony of mind and body.
One&Only’s vision was to create a wellness space that harnesses the elemental energy of Kéa and offers tailored treatments drawing on Greek mythology, Ayurvedic healing traditions and local botanicals.
To celebrate the spa’s launch, Subtle Energies has curated four exclusive treatments combining Greek island influences with ancient Ayurvedic principles.
Spa facilities include watsu therapy pools, cold plunge pools, steamrooms, saunas, jacuzzis and an indoor-outdoor pool with uninterrupted sea views. There is also a Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio By Bastien Gonzalez and a One&Only Hair Salon.
Moreover, the resort features an indoor-outdoor fitness centre, a dedicated teens’ area, bicycles as well as padel and tennis courts.
“Every One&Only resort is one of a kind, celebrating its exceptional location and honouring the natural landscape and local community,” says Philippe Zuber, CEO of One&Only’s parent company Kerzner International.
“We’re excited to reveal our second Greek haven and now, with two distinct properties, we offer a truly unrivalled journey across Greece through the lens of One&Only.
“With a population of just 2,300 residents, this island is incredibly special to its people and it was our privilege to work with the community to authentically reflect and protect Kéa’s unique spirit. This off-the-radar destination reveals a different side to the Cyclades, promising a grounding stay that leaves guests feeling relaxed and revitalised.”
Additional facilities at One&Only Kéa Island include a KidsOnly Club and six restaurants and bars.
The resort also runs a schedule of cultural excursions across land and sea to help guests immerse themselves in Kéa’s culture and history. These include shipwreck diving, sailing trips to hidden beaches, archaeology tours to excavation sites and more.
Design details
Designed by architect John Heah, the resort's design pays homage to Kéa’s architectural traditions and features hand-cut local stone, Greek marble, lofty atriums, white-washed walls, pergolas and rounded archways.
The main arrival building and villas are claimed to create a village-like atmosphere while maintaining a sense of space and privacy.
