Kerzner’s first Siro fitness and recovery hotel now open in Dubai
– Philippe Zuber
Kerzner International has ushered in a new era of wellness-centric hospitality and unveiled its highly-anticipated flagship Siro resort in Dubai.
Situated within the striking One Za'abeel development (also home to Kerzner’s latest One&Only Resort), Siro One Za'abeel is designed to empower guests to unlock their peak mental and physical potential.
The fitness and recovery hotel brand's philosophy has been built around five biohacking pillars – fitness, nutrition, sleep, recovery and mindfulness – with tech integrations built in. Health and wellbeing are a part of every step of the customer journey which includes access to extensive fitness and recovery facilities, nutritious F&B options and sanctuary-like guestrooms designed to promote recovery.
“Prioritising fitness, recovery and selfcare has become a way of life for many and has evolved into a pillar facet of modern life,” says Philippe Zuber, Kerzner CEO.
“Siro is our direct response to this new normal. It’s our incubator concept, a merging of science and innovation to create a space that not only positively blurs the lines of wellness and hospitality but also brings together a community of like-minded individuals who want to enjoy the immediate benefits of fitness while future-proofing their health.”
Further Siro locations are set to open in Montenegro, Japan and Mexico.
The Fitness Lab
At the core of the Siro One Za'abeel experience lies its Fitness Lab, a dynamic hub offering an array of 50 weekly group exercise classes across four specialised studios: the Experience Box, the cycle studio, the yoga studio and a space for reformer Pilates.
At the forefront of this line-up is the Experience Box, an atmospheric studio designed for HIIT and Siro Signature Classes. It features a digital screen supporting TG Team Beats, adding interactive visual engagement by tracking heart rate, performance metrics and current exercises.
The Experience Box's functional performance focus includes suspension trainers, boxing and self-powered treadmills.
This studio also hosts specialised classes like Functional Fitness by AC Milan and Boxing Fitness by Ramla Ali and spinning classes in the cycle studio.
Exclusive off-site activities further complement the experience, inviting guests to explore Dubai's vibrant landscape through desert bike rides, mountain treks, and more.
Recovery LabElevating the pursuit of holistic wellness, Siro One Za'abeel's Recovery Lab has been designed as a sanctuary for mindfulness practices, personalised treatments and rejuvenating holistic classes.
With modern amenities including IV therapy rooms, red light therapy chambers, sound and vibration therapy facilities and Art of Cryo cryotherapy units, guests can embark on a journey of restoration and renewal under the guidance of in-house specialists.
The offering is complemented by Proverb’s modular stretch massage, skin workouts, assisted stretching, physiotherapy, myofascial cupping and dry needling.
Additionally, the Recovery Lab boasts a reformer Pilates studio, a spacious yoga studio and separate male and female-only zones – each with luxurious changing facilities, infrared saunas, steamrooms, thermo-regulated cold plunge pools, relaxation areas and zen spaces.
Group sessions on offer include yoga, meditation, breathwork and speciality sessions such as sound healing.
Health-centric hospitality
Siro One Za'abeel’s rooms have been carefully designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and cater for individual wellbeing routines.
Each one is equipped with a selection of recovery equipment, wake-up technology, thermo-regulating mattresses, a dedicated stretching bar, an in-room refuel bar, personalised in-room modular dining and access to virtual exercise classes and recovery sessions.
Embracing a minimalist decor with neutral tones, each soundproof room features floor-to-ceiling windows to flood the space with natural light and provide panoramic views of the city.
The hotel is also home to exclusive Fitness Suites and Recovery Suites which offer heightened levels of luxury, featuring private gyms and therapy beds for in-room treatments respectively.
Keeping nutrition on trackRecognising the pivotal role of nutrition in fostering overall wellness, Siro One Za'abeel offers an array of dining options to help guests maintain a balanced diet.
Guests can replenish their energy at the Refuel Bar, selecting from a range of nutritious shakes and snacks, or indulge in personalised 24-hour in-room dining options crafted from lean proteins and wholesome ingredients.
Menus come with calories and macro counts and guests can also consult the in-house nutritionist to develop tailored meal plans and for one-to-one advice sessions.
Encouraging guests to remain disciplined with their diet, the minibar in each guestroom includes healthy options such as fresh blueberries, ginger shots, coconut water, kombucha, protein sachets and more.
Membership options
Available to residents of Dubai, Siro One Za’abeel also offers a monthly membership which provides access to the Fitness and Recovery Labs as well as hydrotherapy facilities, over 50 studio classes per week, PT sessions, body composition analysis and more.
