Robert De Niro’s luxury lifestyle brand, Nobu Hospitality, is set to open a new London property Nobu in Marylebone, in November 2020.

The new 249-key Nobu Hotel London Portman Square will feature wellness facilities, a Nobu Restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace, plus a 600-person ballroom, gym and meeting spaces.

The Wellness Centre at Nobu Portman Square will feature three treatment rooms and offer a comprehensive range of both traditional and cutting-edge treatments – all of which have been specially curated by Nobu to mirror the brand’s core beliefs.

A highlight includes the Nobu Zen – a signature ritual with stretching and massage techniques developed to balance the body and harmonise the mind.

The wellness centre will regularly host highly-regarded visiting therapists to ensure the availability of a dynamic range of treatments.

Nobu’s wellness facility will also include a 140sq m Technogym-equipped gym available 24/7, as well as a pilates studio and juice bar.

The hotel is owned and developed by L+R Hotels; it marks the third collaboration between L+R Hotels and Nobu Hospitality, following the launches of Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay and Nobu Restaurant Monte Carlo.

Every element of the hotel has been hand-picked and conceptualised by London-based architecture and interior design firm David Collins Studio, together with MAKE Architects. According to the firms, design is inspired by modern luxury with minimal Japanese tradition, complemented with a refined colour palette influenced by heritage Japanese colour combinations.

Each bedroom takes its conceptual cues from the traditional English garden within the adjacent Portman Square, drawing on the natural materials, textures and tranquillity of this hushed urban oasis.

Desmond Taljaard, MD, L+R commented: "We’re very excited to launch this truly unique property in 2020. The opening of Nobu Hotel London Portman Square marks another successful collaboration with Nobu Hospitality and will be a hallmark opening for both brands - in one of the capital's most sought-after cultural districts.”

Nobu Portman Square will be the group’s second UK destination, joining the existing Nobu Shoreditch hotel.
