Gringotts coming to Harry Potter studio tour in London attraction's largest-ever expansion

Harry Potter fans in London, UK, can experience a new treat from Q2 this year, when the Gringotts Wizarding Bank expansion opens at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

From 6 April 2019, the permanent addition to the attraction will allow visitors to walk through Gringotts Wizarding Bank’s grand banking hall, complete with imposing marble tower pillars, three crystal chandeliers and real brass leaf finishing; goblin tellers’ desks will be full of props such as quills, ledgers and piles of Galleons, Sickles and Knuts. Visitors will discover costumes and prosthetic masks of Bogrod, Griphook and other goblin bankers on their journey through Gringotts.

The depths of the Lestrange vault follow, where the treasures of Bellatrix Lestrange are stored, including the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup. Visitors can try out a unique photo opportunity here inside the Lestrange vault, surrounded by treasure.

Many of the original crew members from the original film series have worked on designing and building the 16,500sq ft (5,030sq m) expansion, including Oscar and BAFTA-winning production designer Stuart Craig, construction manager Paul Hayes and head propmaker Pierre Bohanna.

A new 17,000sq ft (5,180sq m) lobby and 500-seat café serving food and drink inspired by the Harry Potter wizarding world will also be unveiled on the same day as the Gringotts expansion opens. Entrance to the new features are included in the general admission ticket price.
