Blue Diamond, Black Diamond Award winners announced
UK’s Dormy House Spa manager, Zoe Douglas, has been awarded the Black Diamond Award at the Forum Hotel & Spa Awards in Paris.
The Black Diamond Award was created by the Forum Hotel & Spa event to acknowledge an outstanding figure in the hotel and spa industry, and is awarded to those who have earned the recognition of peers and journalists for their dedication and excellence within the industry.
The awards ceremony took place at the Four Seasons George V Paris on Thursday, 1 June.
“This is a huge accolade for me, and I’m extremely proud and humbled by the fantastic endorsement,” said Douglas. “Together with the team at House Spa, we are constantly striving to exceed our guests’ expectations with our personalised approach and the fantastic range of services and treatments we offer.”
Douglas has been with Dormy House since November 2013, launching the House Spa in February 2014. House Spa was created by Sparcstudio and Howard Spa Consulting.
The six-treatment-room spa in the Cotswolds includes a 16m infinity pool, hydro pool, thermal suite, rasul mud room, Veuve Clicquot Champagne Nail Parlour, gym, personal training studio and spa lounge.
Second place for the Black Diamond Award went to Sven Huckenbeck, spa director at Bio and Wellness Hotel Stanglwirt in Austria. Third place was tied between Severine Philippin, general manager at Les Thermes de Spa in Belgium; and Julie Mauro, spa manager at the Hotel Domaine de Manville in France.
The winner of the Forum Hotel & Spa Awards Blue Diamond Award for the Best Thalasso Manager is Jean-Luc Pleuvry, operations manager at Thalazur Spa & Thalassotherapy in Normandy, France.
