Biggest Gold’s Gym in the world opens in the Middle East

by Deven Pamben | 09 Aug 2017

US-based Gold's Gym has opened a 14,000sq m (150,690sq ft) six-floor club in the Middle East – the largest property the operator has launched to date.

Architect Maher Sidiqui and designer Zahair Bushnaq collaborated on the flagship gym, located in Amman, Jordan, which has a wide range of facilities, including four swimming pools and studios such as mind/body, cycling and GGX. It also boasts indoor and outdoor gyms, three floors of dedicated ladies training zones and a Kid’s Club.

Mudassar Khan, Gold’s Gym Jordan chief operating officer, said: “The club is the world’s biggest Gold’s Gym and with size comes great opportunity.

"It was our core objective to create a fitness hub to appeal to all types of fitness-goers and cater for and understand the needs of people in the Jordanian market.”

Launched in 1965, the Gold's Gym franchise has more than three million members in 38 US states and across 22 countries.
