FIT Summit launched to 'connect Asia’s fitness and wellness industry'
A new event – marketed as the first major business gathering for Asia's health, fitness and wellness industry – will be held next month.
Taking place in Singapore on 20 March, FIT Summit has been designed as a platform for fitness business leaders to meet and promote greater connectivity, collaboration and investment across the sector.
“Asia's fitness industry is growing at an exponential rate, but it is too fragmented to ensure its sustainable growth," said Ross Campbell, founder and CEO of FIT Summit.
"Hundreds of exciting brands and businesses exist – many with great potential – but many are not realising their full potential.
"We need to work together to grow our marketplace, engage new demographics and better serve our customers and the communities in which we operate."
FIT Summit will look to attract brands, companies, clubs and investors to meet and discuss emerging market trends, business challenges and opportunities.
The inaugural FIT Summit will see 300 executives gather to hear insights from a number of keynote speakers.
Speakers will include Christian Mason, managing director for Virgin Active's South East Asian operations; Maurice Levine, CEO and master franchisee of Anytime Fitness Asia; and Simon Flint, CEO of Evolution Wellness.
