Health and wellness ‘universe’ debuts in Azerbaijan

by Rebecca Barnes | 01 Mar 2017

Overlooking the Nohur Lake in the heart of the Gabala region, health and wellness retreat Chenot Palace Hotel is now open.

Featuring 72 bedrooms and three villas with private spas, the five-star resort has been designed by architect Michel Jouannet of Architecte d’interieur to blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment.

The interior design also respects nature: large windows open to the landscape views, natural wood floors and simple furniture give a sense of lightness, creating a caring and inspiring environment to promote total rest and recovery.

The 6,000sq m (64,583sq ft) medical spa facility broadens the Chenot therapeutic approach launched by health and wellness specialist Henri Chenot, who has been dedicated to individual wellness for more than 45 years.

This principle has led the Chenot Group to develop holistic treatment protocols which are applied over a short period of time - these aim to stimulate the body in order to eliminate toxins, assimilate nutrients, increase vitality, energy levels and rebalance the equilibrium.

Advanced diagnostic techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, together with the Chenot method of treatment protocols, enables the European team of medical professionals and specialists to provide personalised programmes for guests that enhance individual wellness.

Signature treatments include the Human Performance Department for metabolic optimising, a cryo chamber at -110C, a Sports Lab for fitness screening, antigravity technologies and oxygen reduced training.

Integral to the method, the Chenot diet demonstrates that individual wellness does not only come from the finest ingredients but also from calorific density, nutritional value and the preparation and cooking of food.

The synergy of diet and treatments is said to promote both inner and outer wellbeing.
