Annika Sofia Bjorka has been appointed spa director at Clinique La Prairie’s first facility outside of Europe – Clinique La Prairie Aesthetics & Medical Spa at the St. Regis Bangkok.
The new 1,500sq m medi-spa in Thailand exclusively provides cellular skincare treatments from Swiss Perfection.
The facility is spread across two floors and includes 16 treatment rooms, a hammam, rain showers, Thai herbal steamrooms and a twilight rasul, as well as vitality pools, foot reflexology water walks and relaxation pods.
With over 14 years’ experience in luxury hospitality and spa, Bjorka has worked in a host of spa leadership roles and has previously worked for Anantara, Per Aquum and Steiner.
Her new role will have her oversee a team of medical spa professionals and specialists with expert knowledge of contemporary science and advanced technology to ensure bespoke experiences, tailor-made programmes promoting longevity and beauty with a results-driven focus.
“The addition of Annika to the team at Clinique La Prairie Bangkok is invaluable,” said Zoe Wall, group director of spa at MSpa International – managing company of Clinique La Prairie Bangkok.
“I have full confidence she’ll run Clinique La Prairie Bangkok with an unsurpassed passion and understanding of the world-class facilities and technology.”
A Swedish national with a proven track record in beauty and spa, Bjorka is a graduate of SHMS, Leysin, Switzerland and holds a diploma in hotel management.
“To front the opening of Clinique La Prairie Bangkok is a true privilege,” she said, “my goal is to help guests re-shift their focus and achieve a holistic approach to health and wellness.
“We’re aiming to help our guests transform themselves from the inside out so they can lead a happier, healthier and better life.”
