Adelboden Alpine Bath sets opening date
The planned Adelboden Alpine Bath in Barnese Oberland, Switzerland, is preparing for a 2013 launch.
When completed, the resort will combine a health spa and a hotel with panoramic Alpine views. It is anticipated that the spa will cover around 48,400sq ft (4,500sq m) and include up to 19 treatment rooms.
Other facilities include saunas, mineral water swimming pools and a medical wellness centre as well as 91 bedrooms.
The project is being financed by property group Pearl of Switzerland Development, which was established and funded by real estate company Pearl of Kuwait.
Total investment in the Alpine Bath will be approximately CHF100m (60.3m euro, US$88.4m, £42m). It will combine a health spa and hotel with panoramic Alpine views.
The spa will cover 61,354sq ft (5,700sq m), of which 11,840sq ft (1,100sq m) will be water surfaces.
It will include 19 treatment rooms. In addition, there will be 14 sauna rooms, around 20 swimming pools, a medical wellness centre, a huge 'meditation' bath, several retail areas and a restaurant.
