Como Hotels and Resorts is to open a new 11-bedroom lodge - and a sister property to its Uma by Como, Paro boutique hotel - in Bhutan's Punakha Valley on 15 September.
Bali-based Cheong Yew Khan is behind the design of the lodge - Uma by Como, Punakha - and previously worked on the Como Shambhala Estate and Uma by Como, Ubud in Bali.
In addition to being described as an "ideal place" in which to do yoga, a Como Shambhala Retreat is among the facilities and will have one treatment room with traditional stone bath.
Therapies at Uma Punakha will concentrate on massages and body treatments, which feature the Como Shambhala Bath and the Bhutanese Traditional Hot Stone Bath and Massage.
White-water rafting, hiking and cycling will also be available at the lodge, with guests able to take advantage of packages that include stays at both the Paro and Punakha properties.
A Como spokesperson said: "The packages are the ultimate in comfortable adventure travel, experiencing Bhutan's Buddhist culture at a deep and comprehensive level."
