Mixed-use centre to open in Kuwait
A large leisure, retail and entertainment complex is set to open in Kuwait City, Kuwait, early next year.
The Kuwait 360° Mall is owned and operated by the retail group Tamdeen and will include a 15-screen multiplex cinema, an Imax theatre, three entertainment zones totaling 12,000sq m and 60,000sq m of branded retail space.
At the heart of the development, which was designed by US-based architects RTKL, will be a central street, connecting all the separate areas and themed after the old-world souks and framed with wooden arch forms prevalent in Middle Eastern architecture.
The entertainment zones at the mall were designed by Thailand-based concept i.
The three entertainment zones are spread across the mall's top level and include a 7,0000sq m Energy Play Centre, a 3,5000sq m competition-standard bowling arena and a 1,500sq m "Freeze” zone specifically catering for younger visitors.
