Langham opening luxury hotel in Dubai
Langham Hospitality Group is opening a luxury hotel in the United Arab Emirates in partnership with Omniyat, a Dubai-based privately-held real estate development group.
Located in Burj Khalifa district, Langham Place Downtown Dubai will span a built up area of 680,838sq ft (63,252sq m). The US$273m (€242m, £177m) project will include 438 bedrooms in the five-star luxury hotel and serviced apartments, and will be completed in 2018.
Langham Place Downtown Dubai will feature the group's signature Chuan Body and Soul spa, which will offer therapies based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine using the five elemental forces of wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Further details of the spa are not yet available.
"With Omniyat's vast experience in developing luxury properties with cutting-edge architecture and design, we are delighted to manage this hotel in such a premium location in this dynamic city," said Dr. Lo Ka Shui, executive chairman of Langham Hospitality Group.
"Through this strategic partnership with such a renowned property development leader in the Middle East, we look forward to creating a prestigious luxury lifestyle centre that will add to the iconic skyline in Dubai."
The Langham Place Downtown Dubai will also feature four dining options and more than 4,306sq ft (400sq m) of event space.
